Q: What should I bring when buying a fireplace?
A: If you have an existing wood fireplace you may be looking for a gas
insert. Bring all dimensions of the fireplace cavity (width x height x
depth) along with the depth of the lintel (the thickness of the material
that crosses above the fireplace opening). Also bring photos of the
fireplace inside and outside of the building.
Q: Want is the difference between a direct vent and natural vent fireplace?
A: A direct vent model uses vent piping which goes through an exterior wall eliminating the need for a chimney. A natural vent fireplace uses an existing masonry or metal chimney stack to vent flue gases
